THQ Slowing Down UFC Releases

Here's the link as well http://ps3.ign.com/articles/111/1111218p1.html HAHAHA EA your already scaring them :)
THQ has said its UFC Undisputed fighter series may see longer development cycles going forward as the publisher hopes to find ways to innovate the franchise and boost sales.
President and CEO Brian Farrell noted on the company's Q1 2010 fiscal earnings call this afternoon the UFC series may no longer be released annually and could receive up to an additional six months of development time between titles.
"We're considering a longer development cycle; 15 to 21 months between releases rather than annually," Farrell said. "We're not announcing anything; we're looking at all of our options and working with the UFC to make sure we're aligned with their plans as well."
Farrell later confirmed there will be another UFC Undisputed title released next year but would not provide a release window for the game. He also said he still sees strong growth opportunities for the franchise.
THQ said it shipped 2.7 million copies of UFC Undisputed 2010 during its first quarter, a dip from the 2.9 million of 2009's title it shipped during the same period last year.|||http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/1686774.page|||Good job EA. :)|||Too many people hate on Undisputed here. Fact is that it's the best MMA game on sale right now (not saying much). If this means THQ will have better features and more polished game play when it comes to releasing the game, I'm all for it.
By wanting Undisputed to fail, you're no better than Dana White wanting every other promotion in the world to fail.|||

thq sucks they truly dont give a *about there costumers if it was not for ea mma coming out soon thq would have never fixed a single thing in there ufc games also if thq cares about there costumers soooo much why wont they hold back there wwe games for another 6 or 7 months truth is if thq has no competition then they dont give a * about the quality of there games ......and im sure all thq is going to try to do with ufc 2011 is first put there new muscle flex tech on all the ufc fighters then they will try to rip off everything they can from ea mma|||

As someone who has personally met the entire team at THQ in Agora Hills, I can honestly say that you are completely wrong.
Yes they want to sell copies, but they also want to make the best product available. This was before EA MMA was even announced.|||:) :) :) Kudos EA.
Looks like they're trying to copy EA.|||yheaa the hate for undisputed is stupid
i want the game to be good, i just cant see how it will be, even with the extra 6 months,
im pissed at the dev team for all the promises they made
what i will say is i think the game is broken,
Health/damage system,
Sub system,
Physics,
poor caf system,
broken online,
ground game that leaves lots to be desired
and more,
its not impossible but its something that i think needs bi-annual releases|||

Poor CAF system? I call * on that. It's better than any thing EA has put out in form create-a-fighter/skater/boxer/etc.|||honestly, ive only played 09, im getting 10 from a friend today|||When I need to get my MMA fix, I throw Undisputed into my Xbox. I get a few laughs from people on my friends list from this forum.
"How can you play that garbage?!"
lol
Admittedly, I do have fun when I'm playing against people in my living room. We all want to have clean, competitive and non-laggy fights online, but THQ just dropped the ball with that.
I find myself playing UFC before a big card , like last weekend. My friends and I all took part in playing the event download (which is one of the coolest features) and we had some good laughs and some good battles.
It's too bad that THQ has dropped the ball in terms of their community and their lack of promised , online features. If I was the UFC, I'd be PISSED with how they're handling my brand. However, I'm sure the UFC exec's aren't in touch with the online community.. and have no clue at the backlash they're receiving on their own message boards.
All they see is sales, and with that UFC label on the cover, they'll keep selling it.
(But it's still the most returned game within 1 month of release)
