Record doesn't change after ranked match?

Played a guy on xbox 360 to unify belts at LHW 2 times in a row 1st time I beat him by knockout then went to play again and got same guy and it said he was still on a 8 fight win streak and I tapped him out and after the match my Record was still the same as b4 the 1st fight.What happen he do so special DC?
